2 самоопыленная линия
то же, что инбредная линия (см. инбредная линия); потомство одного перекрестноопыляющегося растения, полученное в результате принудительного самоопыления (см. самоопыление). При многократном самоопылении жизнеспособность и урожайность C.л. снижаются, а однородность в генотипическом отношении увеличивается. Гибриды от скрещивания таких C.л. между собой значительно превосходят (вследствие гетерозиса) по мощности развития и урожаю зерна родительские формы, что используется для производства гибридных семян кукурузы, сахарной свеклы, огурца и др. с.х. культур.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
